Kristi Tihanyi Skalman is currently a student at Willamette University College of Law. She first became passionate about advocating for the needs of students when she tutored at-risk youth in Portland high school and helped them navigate the school system to get the most out of their education. After her son suffered a traumatic brain injury, she learned the importance of advocates that work with children and their families to ensure that all children are receiving the care and attention needed for their unique situations. Kristi enjoys encouraging youth to pursue higher education and goals. In her spare time, Kristi loves to sing, go hiking, spend time with her husband, and walk her three chihuahuas.
