COVID-19 Beaverton SD Update

Beaverton School District (BSD) recently released their tentative back-to-school plan. The BSD model has two paths: a) school-based hybrid model, or b) FLEX online school. The hybrid model includes both virtual learning and in-person learning. BSD explains that all daily work will be delivered online by neighborhood or option school teachers and the in-person instruction is intended to be “extra” or “supplementary” for social-emotional interaction.

            The FLEX model is a fully virtual K-12 school. Students will still remain enrolled in the District, but FLEX is a permanent school (meaning, if students want to switch back to their regular school they’ll need to wait until the end of the semester.) FLEX is designed to be entirely virtual.
