Hood River County School District Due Process

Wiscarson Law attorneys Diane Wiscarson and Taylar Vajda recently represented a Hood River County School District family in Due Process litigation. After several weeks of trial, the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) found in the student’s favor. The ALJ determined that the student had been denied a free appropriate public education (FAPE) for the entirety of the 2018 – 19 school year. Therefore, the ALJ ordered Hood River County School District to provide, among other things, 54,000 minutes (900 hours) of compensatory education to the student to make up for all that was lost during the 2018-19 school year.
