OPB Article on NW School District’s Treatment of Children with Disabilities

In the first installment of a three-part series, OPB reported on the 
misuse of physical restraints and isolation by school districts in 
Oregon and Washington against children with disabilities. The 
investigation raises questions about school districts not following laws 
regulating restraints and isolation, including failure to inform parents 
when restraints and isolation are used again their children, and the 
negative effects these practices have on children with disabilities.
