Medford School District Due Process Ruling

Wiscarson Law attorneys, Diane Wiscarson and Taylar Lewis, recently represented a Medford School District family in Due Process litigation. After a week-long hearing, an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) found in the Student’s favor. The ALJ determined that the District failed to evaluate the Student, failed to properly identify the Student in all areas of suspected disability, failed to provide an appropriate placement for the Student, and that the District predetermined the Student’s placement. As a result, the ALJ awarded the family over $90,000 of reimbursement for Student’s private Residential Treatment Center (RTC).
